    Finger print identification at banks

So what does everyone think of the new fingerprint identification procedures that are being introduced in banks? I definitely will feel a lot safer against identity fraud knowing that the banks will be asking for a finger print.

I think it's just fine, but I'm sure a lot of people will have a problem with it. Elderly people will be especially resistant. They get mad at tellers for even asking for ID!

If it's something that banks are voluntarily doing, then I have no problem with it. People who have a big issue with it could simply find another bank. If the government forces this on all private banks, that seems a little excessive. I think banks should be able to determine their own security measures, within reason.

I have not yet been fingerprinted at my bank but I'd have no problem if with it. It's just another layer of security to protect us from the scammers who would rob us blind.

My bank doesn't do this yet but I think it's a good thing to have. There is so much identity theft going on nowadays that it never bothers me when the tellers ask for my ID. Rather I spend a few extra minutes scrounging for my ID than losing everything in my bank account.

They are doing this in banks? My bank hasn't asked me to do it. But, then, I've been with them forever. Maybe they are just doing it for new customers.

I think fingerprints in banks are a great idea. I feel much more confident that my money and my identity are safer than it was before. I hope all banks end up doing this at some point.
