    How to carry a purse

Is there a way to carry a purse that is safer than others, so that it cannot be grabbed easily? I have to carry a bag, there's no doubt about it. I just want to carry it as safely as possible.

I suggest you carry a bag with a shortened strap, or wrap it around your arm and shoulder. Of course if it a large bag it may be awkward.Awareness of a possible attack is always the first precautionary method.Should you be in an area that this type of event could happen, show,by your body movements, that you are aware of your bag and are physically confident to react.
There are several methods to defend yourself if a grab occurs.

Carry it crossways, diagonally across your body. For example, put the strap over your left shoulder, going diagonally across your body, with the bag itself on your right side. This makes it much harder to do a snatch and run and it's more likely a would-be thief will know that and look for easier pickings.

I have a bag that has a very short strap that I wedge under my armpit. I also sometimes hold onto the strap itself. While this setup isn't as safe as a diagonal strap, it definitely wouldn't be super easy to snatch away without a fight.
