    Seminars for Women

I would love to hear about self defence seminars and similar events specifically designed for women. Are there any in South Africa that are designed for women only? I would love to hear more about the type of schedule for something like that too.

I think attending a seminar or class is a great idea for pretty much any woman of any age. Please look up videos online on how to defend yourself if you can't find a class in your area.

I haven't heard of any seminars designed for women specifically. I wish they would do something near me as there is often a big difference between what a woman can do and a man can do. Plus attackers are often playing by different rules when it comes to women.

Amirah, I think a woman's self defence typically centers around exposing the vulnerable parts of a man's body. I saw this piece on TV once that demonstrated how it was quite easy to take a man down so long as you were aware of where to strike a couple of pressure points.

Kungfu has the right idea; if there aren't any classes in your area you should do your own research online if you are interested. There are many ways to defend yourself without having to take classes.
